Modern Snow White is based on the film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs by Disney (1937)

Synopsis: In the traditional story we are told that Snow White is a beautiful princess who lives with her stepmother, a bad woman who hates her. This wicked woman is mad with envy and wants her dead. After the hunter fails to kill her, Snow White is left alone in the forest. Some dwarfs welcome her to their home and she begins a new life cleaning and cooking for them.
When her stepmother discovers Snow White is still alive, she goes to the forest disguised as an old beggar and offers her a poisoned apple.
The girl falls asleep until a foreign prince wakes her up with a kiss.
But... in our modern world things don't work the same way for princesses and princes... and as if the audience was watching a film on TV, the action is going to be interrupted by TV commercials more than once.
Characters Objectives
- Narrator: not only tells the story but also takes part in it.
- Snow White: beautiful and young, she's extremely naïve and thinks everybody is good and eager to help. She wants to get married to a handsome prince.
- Stepmother: in her fifties, she's only worried about preserving her youth and beauty. She'll do anything to be more attractive than her step-daughter.
- Mirror: a terrified character, he/she is always afraid to tell the truth.
- Hunter: has to obey the stepmother, although he finds it really difficult.
- Dwarfs: ill-tempered miners, they'll help Snow White for their own benefit.
- Prince Charming: a young prince with no intention of getting married.
- Actor and actress: interrupt the story to promote different products.
Scene 1: In palace.
The Mirror tells the Step mother she's not the most beautiful woman in the kingdom. She asks the huntsman to kill Snow White. (This scene is interrupted by two commercials)
Scene 2: in the forest
The Huntsman tries to kill the princess. (one commercial interruption)
Scene 3: in the forest.
Snow White meets the dwarfs.
Scene 4: in palace.
The Mirror tells Stepmother Snow White is still alive.
Scene 5: in the forest.
Disguised Stepmother offers Snow White a poisoned apple. (one commercial interruption)
Scene 6: in the forest.
Prince charming arrives and wakes the princess up with a kiss.
Scene 7: in the forest.
Unexpected twist.
